August 6–16, 2026 The International Nanaimo Fringe Festival is produced by Pacific Coast Stage Company (PCSC) , a charitable, not-for-profit performing arts organization operating with respect on the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw Peoples in Nanaimo, BC. Running for 11 high-energy days each August , the Nanaimo Fringe Festival is a cornerstone of Nanaimo’s cultural life, championing bold, independent, and diverse theatrical voices from across the street, across the country, and around the world. In 2026, the festival will present approximately 75 performances by 15 companies , hosted at the Port Theatre and other Nanaimo Venues. Tickets are $17 per show , and in true Fringe spirit, 100% of ticket revenue goes directly to the artists . All patrons are required to purchase a $5 Fringe Button as part of their attendance at the festival Beyond the stages, the Fringe comes alive at the Outdoor Fringe Hub . This lively, accessible programming includes music, puppetry, dance, workshops, solo performances, writing workshops, and Indigenous storytelling—open to the community the purchase of a $5 Fringe Button. Altogether, the 2026 Nanaimo Fringe Festival delivers a plethora of performances and workshops over 11 unforgettable days —a vibrant, inclusive celebration of creativity, risk-taking, and community.
