The Downtown Nanaimo Street Dance Festival is a free, all-ages celebration of dance, culture, and community taking place August 22 from 4–9 PM at Diana Krall Plaza. Throughout the evening, local dancers and cultural leaders will share Afro Fusion, Salsa and Bachata, Bhangra and Bollywood, and Hip Hop through live performances, beginner-friendly tutorials, and open dance sessions. The festival features Tania Amaral, Natalia and Sergio, Sukhi Sangha, and Olivia Rockall, with music by DJ All Good. No dance experience is needed. Come watch, learn a few moves, meet new people, and experience the joy of dancing together in the heart of downtown Nanaimo. Location: Diana Krall Plaza.
