Two of Canada’s finest—Shari Ulrich & The Unfaithful Servants—share the stage for a night of unforgettable acoustic magic. Shari Ulrich has long been considered a legend in Canadian Folk music and The Unfaithful Servants have been heralded as one of Canada’s finest acoustic groups. For this special evening, each artist will perform their own individual sets plus there will be various collaborations throughout the night, bringing these two musical worlds together in an exciting display of Canada's finest, all on one stage. Shari Ulrich, is a multiple Juno Award-winning singer-songwriter and a cherished voice in Canadian folk music for decades. Known for her beloved work as a solo artist and with groups such as The Hometown Band, Pied Pumkin, and collaborative projects with Barney Bentall, Bill Henderson, and Roy Forbes, Shari Ulrich brings her signature warmth, wit, and deep musicality to the stage. Renowned for her soaring vocals and skill on violin and piano, Ulrich’s songs are both deeply personal and universally resonant. The Unfaithful Servants, are an exciting folk-bluegrass-Americana quartet praised for their rich harmonies, masterful musicianship, and compelling songwriting. Born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, BRENT BUTT discovered early that being funny was a good way to get attention. Brent honed his comedy in school and at the age of 20 moved to the city to pursue a career in stand-up. Within months he was headlining top clubs in Toronto, and within a couple years he was touring internationally and appearing at major festivals. His television specials quickly secured his reputation as one of the funniest people in the country, but he was also busy creating his own TV series – a sitcom called CORNER GAS. It became an instant hit with unprecedented ratings and numerous accolades including an International Emmy Award nomination, and was named "Funniest Show on TV" by TV Guide readers. Canada’s favourite comedy is now shown in over 26 countries including the US. The final episode of the series was “the highest (rated) on record for a Canadian scripted series since it began keeping track in 1994” Brent’s follow-up series HICCUPS ran for two seasons. In 2013 Brent was honoured with a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his contributions to community and country. It took more than 2000 years of science to figure out that our perceptions are wrong—that we live on a spinning ball racing through space faster than a rocket. Throughout history, our perception of ourselves and our place in nature has been changed by science. And it's not over. There is still a great deal we don't know about the nature of the universe. A fundraiser for Astronomy Outreach. All ticket proceeds directly support public stargazing and science education at the Centre of the Universe. American singer Linda Ronstadt is an award-winning superstar of both pop and country music. She has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. By the end of the 1960's, Ronstadt had become a solo act. She put out several albums with a series of backing bands, one of them the nucleus of the group that would become the Eagles. Following a stronger reception of her 1973 album Don't Cry Now , Ronstadt finally hit it big with Heart Like a Wheel (1974). In addition to the hits "You're No Good" and "When Will I Be Loved," the album featured a cover of Hank Williams's "I Can't Help It (If I'm Still In Love With You)," which earned the singer the first of 12 Grammy Awards. Classic Ronstadt (The Legacy of Linda) is fronted by D.L. Car who is a multi-talented vocalist who also portrays another iconic female singer Ann Wilson in the popular Heart Tribute act Barracuda. Joining D.L. are a band consisting of some of the elite musicians on the Pacific West Coast.
