Explore 23 unique communities across Vancouver Island, each with its own character, attractions, and experiences
Southern Vancouver Island
Victoria is the provincial capital and sits at the southern tip of Vancouver Island. The Inner Harbour, the Royal BC Museum and the legislature are within a few blocks of each other, and Butchart Gardens is about half an hour north of the city.
Central Vancouver Island
Nanaimo has two BC Ferries terminals: Departure Bay sails to Horseshoe Bay, Duke Point to Tsawwassen. A foot-passenger ferry crosses from the downtown harbour to Newcastle Island, which has no cars on it at all.
Vancouver Island is divided into distinct regions, each offering unique experiences and landscapes.
