About this event
GO FISH is a 14-minute immersive video installation viewed across three screens, inviting visitors to experience the annual herring spawn in the Salish Sea. Each year, millions of herring return to the coastal waters of the K’ómoks First Nation, transforming the shoreline into a striking milky turquoise as they spawn. Co-created by Scott Smith and Nettie Wild, the this video triptych is free of narration and interviews, relying on breathtaking cinematography and immersive natural sound to place audiences in the middle of this extraordinary spectacle.
