About this event
ArtSpring – Theatre. A young Newfoundland woman searching for her missing brother on the battlefields of World War I may not seem the obvious candidate for a three-person, chamber-style musical—but Meadows of Stone approach this story of grief and loneliness with humanity and compassion, which allows joy, hope and even humour to shine through. This original performance was created by long-time BC creative collaborators Amy Newman—who has strong ties to Salt Spring—and Jim Hodgkinson, and also features actor Brendan Bailey. Together, they’ve created a performance of camaraderie, laughter, love and loss – and through it all, the music that draws those strands together.
