Three self-contained studio suites built in 2006 above the Esquimalt Lagoon Migratory Bird Sanctuary on Portsmouth Drive in Colwood, each with a private entrance, a kitchenette or full kitchen, a fireplace and heated floors. Canoes, kayaks and paddleboards come with the room; a hot breakfast is served April to October on a two-night minimum, and not at all from November to March. Hatley Castle is next door, Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse are close, and downtown Victoria is about 25 minutes around the harbour.
