The Ucluelet base of a long-running whale-watching operator, sending zodiacs out for 2.5 to 3 hours between March and October. Bear watching runs April 15 to October 15 either by zodiac or on a cabin cruiser, the latter from about $179. If the wildlife doesn't show, the raincheck gets you another trip.
