About Meares Island Water Taxi
An on-demand water taxi out of Olsen Road in Tofino, carrying eleven passengers or a mix of people and kayaks, surfboards or paddleboards. The Big Tree Trail on Meares Island is $40, Opitsaht village $5 a head with four people minimum, the Vargas Island trailheads $50 to $65, and the floating gardens at Freedom Cove $125. Bird watching, bear watching, harbour and sunset tours and remote surf drop-offs all run from the same dock.
