About Upstairs Entertainment
The room at 15 Bastion Square opened in 1974 as Harpo's Cabaret, a live music room for artists like Pearl Jam, The Tragically Hip and k.d. lang, and would eventually reopen as Upstairs Cabaret. After a renovation by Edda Creative, it opened its doors as Upstairs Entertainment in December 2023, with busy weekend dance floors and premium live performances. The wooden pillars and spiral staircase were salvaged from estates in James Bay and Fairfield, and the brick walls are original. Patrons must be at least 19 with two pieces of valid ID, one government issued with a photograph.
