About
The Vancouver Island Military Museum sits in downtown Nanaimo's waterfront district, with more than 25 exhibits tracing Canada's military history from the War of 1812 through Afghanistan. Alongside the artifacts are displays on life at home during wartime, the support services that kept it running, and the changing role of women in the armed forces. Open Tuesday to Friday 10am to 3pm and Saturday 11am to 3pm; admission is $4 for adults and $2 for students and seniors, free for children under 12 and for veterans, active military and RCMP.
