Vancouver Island Whale Watch operates whale-watching tours year-round from its Nanaimo location, on open zodiac-style boats or a semi-covered vessel. Trips are usually 3-5 hours long, guided by mariners and researchers who collect field data on every single trip. The company avoids the endangered Southern Resident orca population and donates $2.00 for each seat sold to local marine conservation initiatives.
