About this event
Hybrid (zoom/in-person). Do you have a bold, game-changing idea to address inequity at UVic but need funding to bring it to life? The Robbins-Ollivier Award for Excellence in Equity provides $100,000 to support innovative, institution-level initiatives led by faculty members that aim to address persistent systemic barriers within the research ecosystem and academia more broadly. Faculty members interested in applying for the award in 2027 or a future competition are invited to attend an information session hosted by Mami Schouten (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Research Officer) and Dr. Stephen Ross, the 2024 Robbins-Ollivier Award recipient and former adjudication panelist. Participants will learn about the award’s scope, eligibility requirements, eligible expenses, selection criteria, application and nomination process, and UVic’s internal selection process. Dr. Ross will also share his experiences developing a successful application and offer insights from his service on the award adjudication panel, along with strategies for creating a competitive proposal. Date: Monday, October 26 Time: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM (noon) Location: Hybrid (Zoom / in-person) Register in advance for this session: Robbins-Ollivier Award for Excellence in Equity – Information Session – Fill in form Accessibility Statement To support accessibility and participant preferences, this one-hour information session will be delivered in a hybrid format.
