Before you go
David Turpin Building (DTB) B215. How we move through the world, which spaces feel open to us, and which feel closed off, is at the heart of geography. But whose experiences shape how we understand space? In the final UVic Geography Lecture Series talk of the term, Eden Kinkaid will explore the relationship between queer space and trans life, asking what trans experience can teach us about space and how we think about it. The talk invites students, faculty and community members to consider geography from a perspective that is often overlooked, and to rethink the everyday spaces we share. Queer Space & Trans Life: What Can Trans Experience Teach Us About Space? Friday, November 27, 2026, 2:30 PM (refreshments at 2:00 PM), DTB B215. All are welcome.
