About Get West Adventure Cruises
The MV Uchuck III, a 136-foot wooden-hulled freight and passenger boat in service since August 1955, sailing from Gold River. The Nootka Sound day cruise runs Tuesdays year-round and Friendly Cove — Yuquot — on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with an overnight run to Kyuquot on Thursdays and Fridays. The boat also wet-launches kayaks and drops hikers for the Nootka Island Trail.
