About Great Bear Lodge
Great Bear Nature Tours operates grizzly bear viewing excursions from Port Hardy to a floating lodge in the Great Bear Rainforest from May through October. Tours include seaplane transportation and two guided viewing sessions per day, with a maximum of eighteen guests. Viewing is from blinds constructed with photographers in mind on the river or from boats at estuary sites. Guests stay in private rooms with wilderness-gourmet meals and hot showers.
