About Paradise Meadows (Strathcona Park)
Paradise Meadows is the main trailhead to the Forbidden Plateau area of Strathcona Provincial Park, next to Mount Washington's Nordic lodge. From Highway 19, take exit 130 (Strathcona Parkway) for about 20 km, then turn onto the Nordic Lodge road to the parking lot. A barrier-free centennial trail loops through the subalpine meadows, and longer trails lead to the plateau's lakes. In winter, more than half of Mount Washington's groomed Nordic trails are inside the park, and snowshoeing is popular; winter parking restrictions apply. Dogs must be leashed, and are not allowed on groomed Nordic trails in winter.
