The story
About The Port Theatre
The Port Theatre is a community performing arts centre in Nanaimo, co-managed by The Port Theatre Society and the City of Nanaimo. It opened in September 1998 on the waterfront with an 800-seat theatre, 10 galleries and several gathering spaces. Over 250 events are held in the theatre each year, from music concerts, theatre and dance to recitals, graduation ceremonies and community events.
